Irrico Group of Companies (Stavropol Territory) invested 1.4 billion rubles in the development of its activities in 2022. The funds for this were provided by VTB, the bank's press service reported. In particular, about 800 million rubles were allocated to pay for seasonal field work, 500 million rubles - to conclude loan agreements for the purchase of new agricultural machinery and equipment that are necessary for the implementation of the irrigation project of land plots.
Among the expenses of "Irrico", among other things, were the purchase of chemical and biological plant protection products, seeds, fuels and lubricants, payment for maintenance services for agricultural machinery, equipment, trucks and tractors, VTB clarifies.
Senior Vice President of the bank Artem Kulik noted that cooperation with agricultural enterprises using available state support programs allows to maintain the attractiveness of this sector for investment, create new jobs. It also contributes to the fulfillment of tasks to ensure the country's food security, he recalled.
In Stavropol, "Irrico" is implementing one of the largest projects in the country on irrigated agriculture: 39% of cultivated land is under irrigation, says Alexander Dyrenko, VTB manager in the North Caucasus Federal District. He noted that this makes it possible to get two harvests per season in some fields of the holding. The company is also the largest potato producer in the South of Russia.
"Irrico" has 28 thousand hectares of land, annually it grows 180 thousand tons of products, including over 130 thousand tons of cereals, oilseeds and legumes, according to the company's website. Cereals are grown both on the bogar using zero technology, and on irrigation using classical technology. The agroholding is also engaged in contract production of sunflower seeds and corn on an area of about 1 thousand hectares in cooperation with the companies "Valley of Seeds" (Remington Seeds), Syngenta and Euralis. About 50 thousand hectares are occupied by vegetables and potatoes, the latter including goes to the production of chips and French fries.
